Volunteers Needed!

Marcie Falconetti and Carol Oporto co-chair the volunteer/new member committee. Marcie can be reached at 732-818-0849 or at marciefalco@aol.com. Carol can be reached at 732-504-7217 or at carolann645@comcast.net. They work with the membership chair, Patricia Santanello, in welcoming new members to our Guild. These members are introduced at our monthly member/demo meetings held on the last Wednesday of each month. New members receive an informative membership packet and meet other members at that time.

We need volunteers to help the respective chairs with these upcoming events.

April 7th-30th, 1 - 4 PM. Fiber Arts Show. Chair - Francine Van Ostrand and
Gallery Chair-Geri Ambrose

May 5th: Outdoor Art Sale and Street Fair, 10 AM - 4 PM. Chair-Carol Colvin and Ellen Scharfenberg

June: Fifties Dance, Chair needed.

Receptionists/Sitters: We have implemented a “VOLUNTEER” tag to be worn by the Receptionist/Sitter so visitors will know to whom he/she can ask questions and seek information. The tag is to be worn whenever you are sitting at the reception desk on your designated day. Please remember to leave it at the desk (on the green light) when you close the Guild at 4 PM. Thank you for your cooperation.

Publicity: Publicity Chair Linda Vivian is away for the winter so we have a new volunteer to fill in for her. Tamara Woronczuk will be available to help with any questions/concerns regarding a Press Release, Special Events, etc. Contact Tamara at 732-998-8286 / tworonczuk@yahoo.com.

House & Grounds: Chair Ellen Scharfenberg needs assistance with indoor and outdoor maintenance. She would like to schedule a short meeting on a Thursday to go over the tasks, etc. Ellen appreciates any task, large or small, that you can help her with. We would like to start off the new year with productive goals that will best serve the Guild & our community.

Programs: Elsa Herrmann has a new volunteer to help her with refreshments. Dennis Callan has volunteered to help at the general members meetings/demos on the 4th Wednesday of each month. He will distribute name tags to members and committee chairs. We are asking for another volunteer or two to stand in for Dennis when he is not available.

Membership: We will not be distributing membership cards as previously thought. The Executive Board has decided to place a list of current members, updated monthly, on the reception desk in the black binder of receptionists procedures.
