Position: Summer Art Intern
About Us:
The Ocean County Artists Guild is a vibrant community of artists, art enthusiasts, and educators. Our mission is to foster creativity, provide artistic education, and promote local artists. Located in the picturesque town of Island Heights, our gallery and studio spaces buzz with artistic energy year-round.
Internship Details:
- Duration: 8 weeks (June to August 2024)
- Eligibility: High school students (grades 9 through 12)
- Location: Ocean County Artists Guild, Island Heights, NJ
- Stipend: $10/hr (contingent upon grant award or available funds) or volunteer only
- Hours: Flexible schedule (approximately 15 hours per week)
- Supervisors: You’ll work closely with our experienced artists, instructors, and administrative staff.
Responsibilities:
As a summer art intern, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Perform social media and email marketing tasks
- Assist with gallery exhibitions and events.
- Participate in art workshops and classes.
- Help organize community art projects.
- Gain hands-on experience in various art techniques.
- Collaborate with fellow interns and artists.
Qualifications:
- Social media experience
- Digital media experience.
- Experience with Constant Contact, Canva, Facebook, and Instagram a plus but will train.
- Passion for art and creativity.
- Strong communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute.
- Reliable and punctual.
