Clara Sue will display her collection of art that highlights her unique approach to portraying Flora and Fauna in nature. This includes

• Reduction Printmaking
Clara Sue Beym, lives in Bayville, NJ with her husband of 45 years. Clara Sue studied fine art, advertising design and architectural drawing in college. Recently retired from her career as an award-winning graphic designer in Princeton NJ, Clara’s designs have been seen around the world in international education campaigns. Her designs have won numerous awards were published in trade magazines as well as book covers. Throughout her design career, Clara has also had the opportunity to use her fine art painting skills for many marketing and special advertising projects. Her interest in architecture and skill in graphic design, led to her special talent of rendering numerous watercolor house portraits for clients and realtors. Since her recent retirement Clara has been fortunate to pursue her art career full time.
Clara likes to interpret the beauty of nature in bright colors, bold brush strokes and is very influenced by Impressionism. She enjoys painting paints seascapes, landscapes, animals, buildings and frequently paints Plein Air. She has been painting in watercolors, her medium of choice for over 50 years, but she also paints in acrylics, oils and pastels. Since retiring, Clara joined the printmaking group at Ocean County Artist Guild. She has shown her printmaking art with the group several times and recently curated a special exhibit of prints at the Lavallette library. Clara also creates collages from her upcycled watercolors in a unique fashion of tearing, cutting and gluing older paintings into new forms of art.
Clara Sue has exhibited at galleries throughout NJ. She recently had several solo exhibits at Ocean County Libraries. Her paintings have been published on book covers, magazine covers, posters and sold to interior designers. Her art is in the permanent collection of Mercer County Historical and Berkeley Township Historical Societies. She has won first place in the Ocean County Senior Art Exhibits for the Watercolor Painting category.
