The Photo Group of the Ocean County Artist Guild is delighted to announce an Evening with Photographer Phil Cantor on Wednesday, October 9th at 7pm at 22 Chestnut Street, Island Heights.
Cantor will be presenting work from his current project: “Alter Egos” wherein he makes portraits of people in uncommon communities like war reenactors, Comicon participants, Mummers, etc. He’ll be sharing anecdotes and taking questions from the audience. A widely published corporate photographer, Cantor is an engaging speaker, whose work has been highly regarded. The event is open to the public and admission is free.

The Photography Group is open to any member of OCAG who works in the medium of photography as fine art. We’re hoping these meetings will be a chance to get acquainted with each other and the new coordinator of the group, Dan Epstein. In an effort to jump start the activities going forward, we’ll be doing some planning at this get together. Under consideration include museum outings, visiting photographer’s lectures, workshops, and collegial critique sessions, as well as the planning for the annual photo exhibit at OCAG.
Meetings are the second Wednesday of the month from 7-9 PM.
