Exhibit Information: for prospectus and submission/payment instructions
- The show is open to all photographers, Ocean County Artist Guild Membership is not necessary to enter work into the show. All works must be original photographic media. This includes film and digital images, created by the photographer in the past three years. Work created entirely by the use of Artificial Intelligence software is not acceptable. All work must be available for sale with a 25% commission for OCAG.
- The deadline for entering is Monday, September 9, 2024 by midnight.
Accepted works will be announced via the OCAG website and e-mail by September 16, 2024.
Accepted work may be delivered to the OCAG Gallery on either:- Sunday, September 29, 2024, between 1-4 pm
- Tuesday, October 1, 2024, between 11-2 pm or 6-9 pm
- Exposures 2024 Opening Reception will be Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 6 to 8 pm. Awards will be presented at 7:30 pm.
- Unsold works must be picked up on Tuesday, October 29/Wednesday 30th from 2:00 pm–7:00 pm.
- Insuring work is the responsibility of the artist. OCAG is not responsible for any damage, loss or theft to works submitted.
- The OCAG reserves the right to reproduce entries for publicity.
- No work accepted for the show may be withdrawn before the close of the show. After entering, the photographer cannot substitute another work for the entered one, change the title or the sale price.
- All entries must be framed and wired for hanging. Saw tooth hangers are unacceptable. Framed pieces may not exceed 36” on the long side. All work must be labeled on the back with the artist’s name, and the name of the work.
- Cash awards will be given to Best in Show and First Place in each category. Additional award winners will also receive ribbons.

JUDGE:
Eric Levin was formerly the Special Projects Editor at People magazine before becoming the Deputy Editor of New Jersey Monthly magazine, a position from which he has just recently retired. He is an accomplished Fine Art photographer whose work has been in numerous exhibitions since the 1960’s. The Guild is excited to have him as the juror of this year’s exhibition.
EXHIBITION CHAIRS
Dan Epstein has been a working photographer since 1976. He primarily shoots people and food; his photographs have appeared in advertising and countless national magazines. He has exhibited his personal work since 1988.
Robert McKay, along with his wife and partner Elisabeth Koch-McKay, owns and operates McKay Imaging Photography, a photo studio in Red Bank, New Jersey. Since they began some 29 years ago, Robert has co-chaired art shows, directed a film festival, entered and juried many photography shows, served on a curating committee, and an advisory committee for arts organizations, all in addition to hosting over 40 exhibits in their Red Bank studio space. As an artistic outlet for himself, he enjoys photographing what he sees… with his iPhone.
CATEGORIES:
- Landscape: Outside or indoors, urban, rural or natural; a section or expanse of scenery that can be seen from a single viewpoint.
- Portrait: A likeness of a person, group, attempting to reveal something about the character of the individual(s)
- Still Life: Inanimate objects are represented as the subject of the work.
- Abstract: A photograph that does not attempt to represent an accurate depiction of a visual reality.
- Animals: A photograph wherein the subject is an animal, whether pet, livestock, or wild.
