Greetings to our members and friends,
You are cordially invited to attend an art show in honor of our long-time teacher and friend Pauline Mickle.
Join us at the Ocean County Artists’ Guild, 22 Chestnut Street, Island Heights, on Sunday November 10, 1-3pm to celebrate the work of one of our favorite artists.
Meet Pauline and hear her wonderful story as you enjoy light refreshments. Her work will be on display at the Guild for entire month of November. Hope to see you there.
Pauline Mickle grew up in Northumberland, England, where she developed her love of art by painting and sketching the beautiful countryside. She has lived in the United States since 1947 and has been painting ever since.
Pauline prefers watercolor as a medium, as it is easier to use for outdoor painting. She paints in a realistic, traditional style, painting on location whenever possible. Her favorite subjects are landscapes, beaches, flowers and trees.
She has studied with Earl Tyler, Pat Lafferty and Lucille Geiser and has an Associate’s Degree in Art from Ocean County College.
Pauline is a two-time past president of the Manasquan River Group of Artists and is a member of the Laurelton Arts Society and the Ocean County Artists’ Guild.
